So did placing a die on a table.

Reading added another.

Remembering another.

Returning attention another.

Playing chess and soccer another still.

Our picture of voluntary action became richer.

Sometimes there is room to stop and decide.

Sometimes there is room to guide, prepare, or return attention.

Sometimes there is hardly room at all.
